How to Clean & Store Your Mask

How to Clean & Store Your Mask

Keeping your Artemis devices clean is simple and only takes a moment. The face mask and neck plate are cleaned differently, so here's the breakdown for each — plus a few tips on storage and travel.

Face Mask

Option 1 — UV Sterilizer Case (Recommended) The easiest and most thorough option. Place the mask in its UV sterilizer case after each use — the UV light sanitizes the mask automatically while it charges. The sterilizer runs for 30 minutes then stops on its own. See Using the UV Sterilizer / Charger Case for full instructions.

Option 2 — Manual Cleaning For a quick wipe-down, use any of the following:

  • A cloth or cotton ball with a small amount of gentle facial cleanser
  • Non-alcohol wipes such as Barbicide wipes or Cavi-Wipes

Neck Plate

The UV sterilizer case is designed for the face mask only and cannot fit the neck plate. To clean the neck plate, wipe it down with:

  • Barbicide wipes
  • Cavi-Wipes
  • A cloth with a small amount of gentle facial cleanser

Storage & Travel

Your device is fine for everyday travel and normal storage conditions. A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • Heat: Brief heat exposure — like a short errand with your device in the car — is very unlikely to cause any damage. Electronics generally don't start to fail until well beyond typical hot-car temperatures. For long-term storage, a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight is best practice, as it is with any electronic device.
  • Moisture: Never submerge either device in water — they are not waterproof. Let devices dry fully before storing or charging.

Tips for Both Devices

  • Avoid alcohol-based wipes — these can damage the device surfaces over time
  • Never submerge either device in water — they are not waterproof
  • Let devices dry fully before storing or charging
  • Clean after every session, especially in professional or shared-use settings
