Getting Started — Time & Usage Recommendations

Getting Started — Time & Usage Recommendations Welcome to Artemis! Here's everything you need to know to begin your light therapy journey the right way. Before Each Session Always start with a clean, dry face. Do not apply serums, toners, or moisturizers before your session — these products can reflect light and reduce how effectively it penetrates the skin. You can apply all of these afterwards. Recommended Starting Point Everyone's skin is different, so there's no single perfect routine. That said, here's a solid baseline to get you started: 10 minutes per session · Intensity 7 · 3–5 times per week Stick with this for 2 weeks, focusing on the colors or modes most relevant to your skin concerns, then adjust based on how your skin is responding. As you get comfortable, you can increase up to 30 minutes per session and explore higher intensity levels. For Estheticians & Professional Use If you're using Artemis on clients, the approach is a little different. Since clients are unlikely to be receiving daily treatments, you'll want to use a higher intensity — typically level 8–10 — for a 30-minute session. Start by identifying what your client's skin needs most, then choose the appropriate color or Auto Mode preset accordingly. Using the App vs. Without the App Both approaches work well. The app gives you more precise control over colors, intensity, time, and access to Auto Mode presets. If you prefer to use the mask without the app, you can still control everything directly from the mask using short taps (color changes) and longer holds (Auto Mode). See our Color Guide and Auto Mode Guide for more detail on choosing the right settings for your goals. If you have questions about your routine, don't hesitate to reach out at i@artemismask.com. Complete Mask Guide — All Modes Explained

Complete Mask Guide — All Modes Explained This article covers every mode available in the Artemis iMask app. For the full visual guide — including screenshots, diagrams, app walkthroughs, and the Artemis Ritual Builder (a personalized tool that shows you exactly which colors to use for your specific skin concerns) — visit: 👉 artemismask.com/pages/artemis-led-mask-guide The Ritual Builder is particularly useful if you're not sure which colors or modes are right for your skin — it walks you through your concerns and builds a personalized routine for you, and helps you stay accountable to it over time. Care Mode Care Mode is the main mode most users will work in day to day. It has three sub-modes: Normal Mode The simplest option — applies one color to your entire face for the full session duration. Great for beginners or those with a single focused concern. Can also be used without the app using short taps on the mask. Auto Mode Runs a preset treatment program that cycles through multiple colors based on a specific skin goal (anti-aging, acne, brightening, smoothing, and more). Colors will change during the session — this is intentional. Can also be used without the app using long taps on the mask. See the Auto Mode Guide for a full breakdown of each preset. Weather / Recommend Mode Reads your local weather conditions and recommends the most suitable treatment for that day. Different seasons and environments affect the skin differently, and this mode adapts accordingly. Requires location permissions to be enabled on your phone. Expert Mode Expert Mode gives you full control over your treatment and is ideal for those with more experience or for professional use on clients. There are two ways to use it: Diagnosis Mode Lets you adjust treatment based on specific skin needs using a slider. Best for those who already have a good understanding of their own (or their client's) skin concerns. Manual Mode Allows you to assign different colors to individual zones of the face. The mask covers 16 facial areas in total. To use it, select a color, then tap the zone on the face map where you want to apply it. Repeat until all areas are filled with your chosen colors, then set your intensity and time. This is the most powerful mode for targeted, customized treatment — especially for estheticians treating clients with multiple concerns. Saving Programs To save time in future sessions, you can save your favorite settings as Programs (labeled "PGM" on the home screen). The app supports up to 5 saved programs, which can be overwritten at any time. This is especially useful for professionals who treat regular clients — set up each client's ideal program once and recall it instantly at their next appointment. Quick Reference — Color Guide When in doubt, use Red. Near Infrared (NIR) is always active alongside red light automatically. | Color | Best For | |---|---| | Red + NIR | Anti-aging, fine lines, collagen, firmness | | Blue | Acne, bacteria reduction | | Green | Dark spots, hyperpigmentation, oily skin | | Purple / Violet | Acne + anti-aging combined | | Yellow | Redness, rosacea, skin texture | | Cyan / Sky Blue | Inflammation, swollen capillaries | Usage Recommendations at a Glance Home users: Start with 10-minute sessions at intensity level 7, 3–5 times per week for 2 weeks. Assess your skin and adjust from there. Do not exceed 30 minutes per day. Professional / esthetician use: Use Expert Mode to tailor treatment to each client. Recommended settings are level 10 intensity for 30-minute sessions. Always sterilize the mask with the UV case between clients. Professional Use Guide — Estheticians & Clinicians

Professional Use Guide — Estheticians & Clinicians This guide is for estheticians, clinicians, and anyone using the Artemis mask in a professional setting with multiple clients. Between Clients — Sterilization Face mask: Always sterilize the mask between clients using the Artemis UV Sterilizer Case. Place the mask inside, close the zipper, and plug in via USB-C. The UV light will sanitize the mask while it charges. Neck plate: The UV sterilizer case is designed for the face mask only and cannot fit the neck plate. To clean the neck plate between clients, wipe it down with: - Barbicide wipes - Cavi-Wipes — available here - Any equivalent non-alcohol, hospital-grade disposable wipe If there is any visible residue on the face mask before placing it in the UV case, wipe it down first with the same products above. Do not use alcohol-based wipes as these can damage the device surfaces over time. Session Settings For professional use, clients are unlikely to receive daily treatments, so higher intensity is recommended to maximize each session: - Intensity: Level 8–10 - Session length: 30 minutes - Mode: Expert Mode (recommended for targeted, customized treatment) Using Expert Mode for Clients Expert Mode gives you full control over which colors are applied to which areas of the face — ideal when a client has multiple or localized concerns. Diagnosis Mode — Adjust treatment based on specific skin concerns using a slider. Good for clients whose needs you already know well. Manual Mode — Assign different colors to each of the 16 facial zones individually. Select a color, tap the zone on the face map, and repeat until the full face is covered. Then set intensity and time. See the Complete Mask Guide for a full walkthrough of Expert Mode. Saving Client Programs You can save up to 5 programs in the app for quick recall between sessions. Once you've dialed in a client's ideal settings, save it as a program so you can pull it up instantly at their next appointment. Programs are accessible from the home screen under PGM and can be overwritten at any time. Recommended Workflow Per Client 1. Confirm client's skin concerns and goals 2. Select the appropriate mode and colors (see LED Color Guide and Auto Mode Guide) 3. Ensure client has a clean, product-free face before starting 4. Run session at intensity 8–10 for 30 minutes 5. After session, client can apply their full skincare routine 6. Wipe down neck plate with Barbicide or Cavi-Wipes; place face mask in UV sterilizer case before the next client Questions? Auto Mode Guide — Preset Treatment Programs

Auto Mode Guide — Preset Treatment Programs Auto Mode runs a programmed sequence of LED colors specifically designed to target common skin goals. It can be activated through the app or directly on the mask by pressing and holding the touch surface. During a session, the colors will cycle automatically — this is completely normal and part of how the mode works. Here's a breakdown of each preset and what it's designed to do: Elasticity For those focused on anti-aging. This preset uses Red + Near Infrared light to boost collagen and elastin production, helping to firm the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Trouble For those dealing with acne. Combines Blue light (which targets acne-causing bacteria) with Green light (which reduces inflammation) to help clear and calm breakout-prone skin. Whitening For brightening and evening skin tone. Uses Yellow light to reduce redness and Green light to target dark spots and hyperpigmentation — together they give the skin a luminous, more uniform appearance. Smoothing For improving skin texture. If you have rough or bumpy areas, this preset combines Green and Cyan/Sky Blue to reduce inflammation and address broken capillaries that can cause uneven texture. Homme Designed primarily for male skin, though suitable for anyone. Features a strong Red + NIR treatment followed by Blue light — great for those with combination concerns. V-Line Focused on the lower face and jawline. Uses Red + NIR and Blue light therapy to address that area specifically. Anti-Dust For skin that's been exposed to environmental stressors like pollution or dry air. Prioritizes Green and Cyan/Sky Blue to reduce inflammation caused by particles and irritants in the environment. If you're not sure which preset is right for you, start with the one that most closely matches your primary skin concern. You can always switch it up as your skin evolves. Questions? Using the Artemis Neck Plate

Using the Artemis Neck Plate The Artemis LED Neck Plate brings the same light therapy technology as the mask to your neck and décolletage — an area that's often overlooked in skincare but shows signs of aging just as visibly as the face. It comes included with the Complete System, or can be purchased separately here. What It Treats The neck plate uses three wavelengths: - Red + NIR — Anti-aging, collagen and elastin production, firmness - Blue — Acne and bacteria reduction - Green — Dark spots, hyperpigmentation, inflammation Unlike the mask, the neck plate doesn't offer zone-by-zone customization. For the neck and décolletage, these three colors cover everything you need. How to Use It The neck plate operates completely independently from the mask — you can use either or both at the same time, it's entirely up to you. To power it on, press and hold the button for one second. Once on, short taps cycle through the three available colors. Adjusting Default Intensity & Session Time You don't need to connect the neck plate to the app for normal use. However, if you want to change the default intensity or session time, you can do so through the iMask app. Note that only one device can be connected to the app at a time, so you'll need to connect the neck plate separately from the mask when adjusting its settings. Once set, you can disconnect and use it as normal. Without app customization, the neck plate defaults to a 10-minute session. See How to Change Intensity or Session Time for step-by-step instructions. Cleaning The UV sterilizer case is designed for the face mask only and cannot fit the neck plate. To clean the neck plate, wipe it down with Barbicide wipes, Cavi-Wipes, or a cloth with a small amount of facial cleanser. See How to Clean Your Mask for full details. Charging The neck plate charges via USB-C — the same cable as the mask. Questions? Reach out at i@artemismask.com. With Love & Light, The Artemis Team

Anti-Aging — How to Use Your Mask for Firmer, Younger-Looking Skin

Using the Artemis Mask for Anti-Aging Red light and Near Infrared (NIR) therapy are among the most well-researched tools in skincare for combating the signs of aging. Studies have shown they can help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin firmness, and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin — the building blocks of healthy, youthful skin. Which Color to Use If anti-aging is your primary goal, focus almost exclusively on the Red light setting. NIR is automatically activated alongside any red light setting, so you're always getting both benefits at once without needing to adjust anything separately. You can also try the Elasticity preset in Auto Mode, which is specifically designed for anti-aging and runs a programmed Red + NIR sequence for you. Recommended Starting Routine - 10 minutes per session - Intensity level 7 - 3–5 times per week After 2 weeks, assess how your skin is responding and adjust from there. You can increase to up to 30 minutes per session if you want to push further. Tips for Best Results - Always start with a clean, bare face — no serums or moisturizers before your session, as they can reduce light penetration. - Apply your serums, moisturizers, and any other skincare products after your session. - Consistency is key. Results from light therapy are cumulative — the more regularly you use it, the more pronounced the effects over time. With Love & Light, The Artemis Team
