Using the Artemis Mask for Acne
Blue LED light therapy has been shown in studies to be effective at reducing acne by targeting and destroying the bacteria that causes breakouts in the first place — not just treating existing blemishes, but helping prevent new ones from forming.
Which Color to Use
- Blue — The primary choice for acne. Directly targets acne-causing bacteria.
- Purple / Violet — A combination of red and blue light, great for those dealing with both acne and signs of aging at the same time.
You can also use the Trouble preset in Auto Mode, which combines Blue and Green light for a treatment that tackles both bacteria and inflammation together.
Recommended Starting Routine
- 10 minutes per session
- Intensity level 7
- 3–5 times per week
Increase time and intensity gradually as your skin adjusts and as you feel comfortable doing so.
Tips for Best Results
- Always start with a clean, bare face. Do not apply any skincare products before your session.
- Apply any acne treatments, serums, or moisturizers after your session.
- Blue light therapy works best with consistent use over time — don't be discouraged if you don't see dramatic results in the first few days.
